"Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4)

Once again, I am off to the mission field. God has called me back to Haiti, though I freely admit, not without a little argument from me. But now that I have heard His voice, I am ready! Well, kinda... Typhoid booster shot next Tuesday. Start Malaria drugs shortly afterwards, and then, before I know it, we (the team and I) will be boarding the plane on February 21. Yes, indeed, it is right around the corner!

Hinche, a major market and transportation center in the central mountains of Haiti, is once again our destination. We travel from Port au Prince by a new highway. (5 hours - no porta-poties or fast food stops. A prayer opportunity by itself!) This combined with the new power plant mid-way between the cities holds economic potential for Haiti.

What excites me the most on my mission trips is the people—the outrageous hope of the youth of Haiti and their love of the Lord. We step into partnership with Holy Spirit and release love, forgiveness, and healing in this country. Truly miraculous things happen—more than we can ask or imagine! We will again prayer-walk the city (my favorite!), visit the hospital, hold evening crusades, and send equipping teams to churches. To watch the blind see and the deaf hear, as we declare the powerful name and love of Jesus, makes me humble and oh-so-hungry for even more of Him! Click here to download more info from last years trip.

This year we will also be partnering with World Relief to begin a goat raising project and a fruit tree project. Rumor has it that for $150, you can name one of the goats. I say this tongue in cheek, but thats what I heard just yesterday! (Please let me know the name of your choice.)

Please consider praying for me, the team, and our Kingdom efforts. Download and print the prayer card, and put it in a visible place. Your prayers are the key to our success. Help us disperse darkness and release His Light! It would warm my heart if you would email me and let me know you are praying for us.

I am also writing to ask you to consider financial support of the mission. I am not very fond of this part, but Pastor Doyal assures us that this makes more people aware of our efforts and allows you to share in the joy and rewards. The cost of the trip and our projects is $1,700 (per person.)

If the Lord leads you to partner with me financially, you can use the link below to donate online. Note that you will not be able to claim the deduction if you give online. However, all monies go toward the trip, either my expenses, goats, fruit trees, and/or medical supplies.

Or, if you prefer, you can make checks payable to "NewDay Church." Do not write my name anywhere on the check so your donation is tax deductible, and send them to:

One other thing, please "like" the Haiti Bound Facebook page to receive updates via Facebook. If you are not on facebook, email me and I will add you to an email update list.

May God bless you abundantly!

Sue and the team
